A short route along the water to Doesburg and back through De Achterhoek.
In the Achterhoek region lies the village of Hummelo. The village lies on a river dune along the Oude IJssel. The village street alone has 7 buildings on the list of national monuments. Hummelo therefore has a protected village view. You cycle to the Oude IJssel and cross it. Meandering along the water you will be treated to views of the Achterhoek. The coulisse landscape will show you alternating meadows and fields, screened by patches of forest. After a bend, the landscape can suddenly look different. This theater-like landscape is characteristic of this area. At Waterschap Rijn en IJssel you cross the Oude IJssel again. Through picturesque streets you drive into Doesburg. Here you can visit various museums or sit on a terrace. Winding through the Achterhoek, the route passes farms and meadows back to Hummelo.
