Cycling through nature between Lochem and Warnsveld.
You cycle into the surroundings of the province of Gelderland. The region in this part of the province is called De Achterhoek or also De Graafschap, named after the old county of Zutphen. From the farmhouse you cycle directly into the beautiful landscape. Forest and meadows alternate as you cycle towards Vorden. That the landscape offers a new view after every turn is called a coulisse landscape; as if looking past the curtains\/the wings of a theater. In the surroundings of Lochem there is a lateral moraine. The highest point is formed by a wooded hill 49 meters high. After a well-deserved break in Lochem, you will cycle along the Twente Canal which was completed in 1938. This canal has a side branch which makes it referred to as canals. Therefore, the total length of the canals is 65 kilometers. You will also pass the Berkel River. You meander through the landscape along with this little river, which originates in Germany. After a route with a lot of natural beauty, you can still enjoy your trip.
