Beautiful bicycle route through Limburg countryside
In 2016, Parkstad Limburg became the Best Travel Destination in the World according to the World Travel & Tourism Council: a designation that Limburgers wear with pride.
The region owes that award to its multifaceted character, with cozy cities, pristine forests, idyllic agricultural areas, and last but not least: castles!
On this bicycle route you will see the castles of Terworm, Meezenbroek and Amstenrade, all with their own unique appearance and all beautiful. You'll also discover the craggy ruins of Eyckholt Castle and Schaesberg Castle. You reach these castles through the rolling landscape, where it is wonderful cycling and you encounter one nice terrace after another along the way.
Castle Hoensbroek has a spacious parking lot, from where you follow the cycling route via the junctions.
