A route of cultural sights.
Along the grasslands you will drive towards Boskoop. This area is mostly home to many ornamental crops. Boskoop is also known for its tree nurseries. There are over 700 of them, not all of which you will pass. The many ditches are necessary to provide the trees with sufficient water. Fruit trees have long predominated here from which the apple variety the clean of Boskoop, also known as the goldenreinet, originated. Along the Gouwe you drive through the center of Boskoop and past the tree nursery museum. Its history goes back to the 15th century. Continue through the atmospheric Reewijk to arrive in the center of Gouda. A break in the old center is not to be missed. Then you cycle through the beautiful nature of the Reeuwijkse Plassen. The water is on your left as well as your right hand. The colors of the green and reeds give a beautiful view. Once you have left the Lakes behind, you will be treated to a piece of culture in Fort Wierickerschans. Cycling along the Oude Rijn you will pass through Bodegraven and end in Alphen aan den Rijn.
