A beautiful bike ride along the border with Germany and through Buurserzand nature reserve.
From the campsite you will cycle into the beautiful countryside of Overijssel. This part of Twente borders Germany and this is exactly the direction you are going. But first you ride along the water the Rutbeek into the surroundings. You can enjoy the variety that the landscape here shows. You will drive past heathland and forests and in between you will be treated to vistas across the grasslands. This alternation of forest, along the fields and vistas is like the scenery of the theater. That is why it is called a coulisse landscape. When you ride along Twistveenweg, the fields are on one side the Netherlands and on the other side Germany. So you are cycling on the border. Direction Den Braam and Buurse you cycle through the nature reserve Het Buurserzand. A beautiful area consisting mainly of heath and fens. Special plants and animals such as bladderwort and the hen harrier live here. Back at the campsite you can enjoy all the beautiful impressions of Twente.
