From Ootmarsum into the coulisse countryside.
You start the bike route towards the center of Ootmarsum. In this town, the first churches were already built around the year 770. In the Open Air Museum Ootmarsum you can see and feel the history. On your route through the area you can experience the peace and space of the forests and rye fields. This area shows a varied coulisse landscape and a rich cultural, religious and industrial heritage. Life in Twente is burgundian, it is said. Between the wings of the landscape there is a different view or lovely village after every bend or hill. The Almelo-Nordhorn Canal shows the hand of man through its straight line. Then on your route again to enjoy meandering streams and the green landscape.
